Marketing Supervisor

During the fall of 2019, I became the Intramural’s department first ever Marketing Supervisor. In semester’s past, this has been a responsibility of our Program Assistants, but because of the increased importance of social media, it was determined a the role needed to be created to run all marketing operations.

Since I took over the program’s Instagram account, there has been a 56% increase in the number of followers. This was achieved by significantly increasing the amount of posts that included participants, as well as featuring them on our story. By tagging them in the posts, it increases the amount of interactions we will have with them, and they are also likely to repost it on their story which further increases our reach.

The other social media platform we use is Snapchat. For every “Champ Night” or special event, we would purchase a geofilter the participants to use. Having these geofilters allows the department to create a more professional feel for all of the participants.
